December 20, 2019
‘Tis the season when things get busy, so this December we’ve combined our Green Pledge initiative with another agency tradition…
Each December, we look at how we can support our local community during what can be a tough time of year for some. Last year, we teamed up and made donations to a local food bank. This year, we’ve chosen to spread some Christmas cheer by supporting Cambridge Women’s Aid and making gift donations to individuals (and children) seeking refuge in the charity’s accommodation.
In the spirit of giving, we’ve looked at how we can do more to give back not just to the community, but also to our planet. Since 2019 has been the year that we introduced our monthly ‘Green Pledge’ initiatives, it’s only fitting that we give some thought to ensuring the gifts are environmentally conscious too.
Our agency team have jumped on board and shopped local, chosen items that are not wrapped in plastic or ensured the gifts are not throwaway / single use.
Our lovely box contains items such as books, crayons (in cardboard packaging), scarves, gloves and shampoo bars (all plastic free!).
It might seem like a small step, but as a team we’re now more conscious than ever about sustainable packaging. We’ve come a long way since our first Green Pledge to reduce single use plastics, if you missed it you can take a look back here >
