The brief: For Hilton’s EMEA Leadership & Commercial Conference (ELCC) 2024, we had to create a central network hub to serve as a space for attendees to connect and engage. The audience being Hilton’s Leadership and Commercial team from across EMEA. The 2 day conference offered a chance for networking and educating attendees on the latest industry updates. Held at the Conrad Dubai.

The challenge faced was to design a space that was not only functional but also visually aligned with the Hilton’s brand identity, which was undergoing a refresh throughout the event. The creative team worked collaboratively on designing custom stands and graphics, with the support of our project managers, who liaised closely with the client to ensure the final designs aligned with the changing requirements.

The solution: The stands were strategically placed to encourage networking and facilitate easy movement throughout the hub. A comprehensive 360 flythrough was designed to help the client visualise the space and give an idea of the space before committing to work onsite.  Which consisted of over 40 stands, including a custom-designed Coffee taverna, a faux shop, a wellness area, space for a Mclaren F1 car and a caged Cricket practice area, small speaker stages and various unique touches requested by exhibitors. A spotlight stage for stand holders to watch the main plenary was also incorporated.

The venue sat across multiple floors, so clear wayfinding was essential to ensure a smooth attendee experience. Custom graphics in harmony with the conference branding were created, incorporating both large-format print and digital formats. The entire project was in partnership with local Dubai-based suppliers, keeping the production local to reduce the overall environmental impact of the conference.

We also activated the immersive brand sessions in several breakaway locations. They were designed to reflect the different brands being presented. There were quick turnaround times with complete stage and room redecorations over the two days. The purpose of these sessions was to inspire and educate Hilton Team Members on each brand’s positioning in the market and reinforce industry trends. All room dressing, set and staging, delegate giveaways, bespoke video content and more was delivered expertly.

The result:

The network hub was a key focal point throughout the conference, offering a valuable space for networking. Attendees were drawn in by the amazing visuals and experiential elements on stands, while the brand sessions and spotlight stage created an environment for deeper engagement. Overall, this event helped spark conversations and enhance the connections within Hilton and with their wider partners.
