Engage Instagram followers throughout Recycling Week

Reduce, re-use and recycle, it’s an important message. How did we help Davies Veterinary Specialists to educate and engage their followers on the topical issue?

Successfully managing Davies Veterinary Specialist’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages is second-nature. It was now time to test the water using Instagram’s built-in engagement features, a platform which has a slow and steady growth of Pet Owner and Veterinary Professional followers. What better opportunity than to use a popular awareness trend ‘National Recycling Week’? We curated and shared content focussed on sharing tips and tricks on how to help people recycle, and also highlighted the great work Davies Veterinary Specialists do to reduce their environmental impact through recycling.

Instagram’s built in feature of ‘quizzes’ provides an accessible tool to drive engagement, provided that the right content is supplied.

Research has shown that visual content is critical, because people remember 80% of what they see, compared 20% of what they read and 10% of what they hear. For this reason, we designed a quiz with captivating imagery and quick-fire questions on recycling, which saw exceptional levels of engagement – up to 15%, well above the 2% industry average.

Results were impressive; the account saw a 10,000% increase in reach throughout National Recycling Week.
